I got home for a short vacation and unpacked the second version modified Panshot plate to 110mm x 110mm Arca Swiss 6x9 lens board assembly. I'm happier with this version, although I have one more step before the project is finished. I apologize for the even worse than usual photography here. I used neither the proper time nor equipment to do a very good job of it. Here's the second version disassembled, one side up and the other. SK Grimes turned down the edge of the V groove and then put some threads in it. There's also a thin spacer ring so the sensor cover won't have trouble with the side of the format frame and the lens board with the giant hole and the big ring-nut with the threads for the Panshot plate on one side and an 86mm filter on the other.

Here's the rest of the Panshot without the plate, showing the cosmetic damage from heating up the thread locker so I could take it apart. The little pieces at the top of the picture are the hinge pieces that screw onto the Panshot and fit in little holes in the back of the plate.

Here's a couple images of the camera with the re-adapted Panshot. This illustrates better the width limitations of a format frame to be used with the Panshot and also shows the (hopefully final) step I need to perform. The pushbutton to release the Panshot on the top of the sensor side now hits the format frame before the Panshot can lock in. Assuming it only causes cosmetic damage, which I think is likely the case, I'm going to chop that button and its little receptacle in two so it doesn't hit. If there is more to it, then I'll get someone to mill out a groove in the back of the format frame.

Here's a photo of the filter inside the camera. The large diameter thickness that the filter gives to the plate combined with the tilting necessary to install a lens board or bellows make it necessary to reach through the front of the bellows and install the filter after the Panshot and rear end of the bellows have already been installed.

Finally, here's a couple of shots of the camera with the lens and without the Panshot showing how close you can get the rear lens element to the sensor with the camera in this configuration. This lens is the Rodensock 35mm f/4.5 Apo-Sironar Digital. It's installed on a flat Copal 0 110mm x 110mm lens board for 6x9 mounted in a 171mm x 171mm to 110mm x 110mm format frame reducer mounted in an Arca Swiss old style Monolith 4x5 front format frame. The format frame reducer is held and holds the lens board very securely, and I think there's no chance it'll be a source of focusing trouble.
